Bronze Right Ascension Gear:

A solid bronze worm wheel with a stainless steel worm provides superior wear and longevity.. The standard right ascension gear drive uses an aluminum worm gear with a bronze worm.

High and Low latitude Wedge

For latitudes above 54 degrees and below 24 degrees, a machined wedge is required to achieve the necesary inclination of the polar assembly.

Additional Counter -weights

Additional counter weights are available to handle heavy telescopes. Each counter weight includes an internal threaded sleeve that matches the telescope's counter-weight shaft.

Bisque TCS
Control

The Bisque TCS control is designed for remote operation of the telescope. The TCS includes joystick, servo control box , homing mask, and software for automated telescope control and data collection.

GTO3 control
The AstroPhysics GTO3 control is available for use with our MI-500 and MI-750 mounts. The GTO3 features a full featured keypad , electronic control box, and Swiss-made servo motors.

Homing System
for Servo II
The Servo II control supportsmount homing. At power on, the mount will point to a known position in the sky with no operator assistance. This allows the mount to be initialized and used remotely.

Dual Axis High Resolution
Encoders

Dual axis encoders provide arcsecond pointing and tracking across the entire sky. Using Renishaw encoders on each axis, the mount position is determined by these master encoders rather than the mount's drive gears and motor encoders. For use with the Servo II control.

Mathis Instruments can provide installation and set-up of your mount. Depending on the customer's requirements, this can include polar alignment and on-site training.
